School Health Program: intervention project against dengue in Matinhos, State of Paraná, Brazil

ABSTRACT The School Health Program (PSE) aims to promote health actions in schools through pedagogical tools developed between and education. A study was carried out the city of Matinhos, State Paraná, Brazil, by PSE within scope Luiz Carlos dos Santos municipal school including 60 students from 5th grades, March August 2019. Characteristics participatory action-research problematization methodology were used, being a type social qualitative study. For data collection, method Charles de Maguerez Arch used. As research result, tool at community’, intervention project ‘School, health, environment, community mobilized against Aedes aegypti’. proved that application existing public policies such as PSE, intersectoriality, environmental education, mechanical vector control actions, without applicability poison, are appropriate for disease prevention, elimination breeding sites; thus, making effective use education promotion strategy.
